It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the new and improved Friend, Inc. Community Services website! We are so excited here at Friend, because there are so many wonderful changes that are happening, just in time for the new year.
Friend, Inc. Community Services is a non profit agency that serves Northeastern Berks County by providing an array of support services designed to improve the quality of life for hundreds of individuals and families that strive to obtain self-sufficiency.
Friend, Inc. for over 30 years has been committed to serving our community. We have a firm belief in preserving the identity of thousands of local families and are committed to making sure there is accessible social services here so people do not have to drive into Reading or Allentown. We have always been an open heart, a ready to listen ear, and are compassionate about the work that we do. We have always worked with individuals and families as a guide, a mentor, or an educator, giving people that extra push they sometimes need to create healthy and positive goals. Our commitment is evident by the work that we continue to do, and with your help and dedication, Friend, Inc. Community Services will continue to thrive and serve local families and individuals in need.
Some of our services include a monthly food pantry, case management services, money management services, emergency assistance, Christmas Cheer Program (gifts for children at Christmas time), Parenting Classes, referrals, and more. Friend, Inc. will continue to serve our community with compassion, and commitment.
